Hey, just letting you know that I am going to be stashing some stuff here from NaNoWriMo. Un-add me if you don't want it cluttering up your feeds. Toodles.

1. Got an "A" in anatomy.
2. My cousin Patricia noticed that I was losing weight.

PS. I am sorry if I take a while to respond to comments. I haven't always been receiving my comments via e-mail lately.

Mmm... breakfast.

LOL. This morning I woke up and my babe was begging me to finish the watermelon creation we started last night so I sent my honey off with a slushie for breakfast. It turned out sooo yummy! So I'm sharing.

Watermelon Slushies

1 seedless watermelon
1 tray of ice
1/2 cup of sugar/splenda

1. Juice the whole watermelon and put in a pitcher. Stir in the sugar.
2. Fill a blender with the ice and pour in some watermelon juice until it goes to the top of the ice.
3. Blend and serve.

(Not sure how many servings but it is a LOT.)

I felt super-bad for my anatomy teacher today. I guess she witnessed a really bad wreck right in front of her on the interstate this morning. Some woman and her kids got t-boned by some other car that didn't watch while they were merging. That some other people didn't listen to her and were taking all the bodies out of the car and she was going around trying to give them first aid while they waited for ambulances.

Oh, and then when she got to class she had to teach a CPR certification class with mannequins of all sizes strewn around the room. She was just staring at the plastic bodies and muttering to herself that "it all just happens so fast" repeatedly. I'm going to take her a candy or something tomorrow. I'm not being a kiss-ass! I seriously think she's going to have issues from this for a while and she didn't even get a chance to forget about it today. I would have just gone home.

Grand Mal Seizures

I made a pamphlet that I am kind of proud of so I thought I would share. (It looks way prettier, but here's the gist of it.)

Things worth celebrating.

1. I like sitting in the car just shooting the breeze with Aaron.
2. My grandma made tortillas this weekend.
3. My mom made fried shrimp.
4. My dad taught me how to use the chainsaw.
5. My babe cheered aloud for Dallas today.
6. Our seedless watermelon was sweet.
7. I have motivation again.

And now... just a little eye candy.

Okay, okay, okay...

We got booted from our classroom, so now we are taking notes from a video on computers. How nice! But since the movie hasn't started yet, I can hardly keep myself from bloggin with compy right in front of me and I don't even have another thing to do. Sooo... here is some school time humor...

Tammi: What is the term for your period?
Tamie: Men.

Also, it's a shame that I didn't bust out my notes because I figured out the medical term for saggy boobs. I know it's immature, but far be it from me to self-diagnose something that no one will dispute. :P

So, I am practicing typing with home row. My goodness I suck. None more for this.

As for my normal rambling: Josh is asking me and Aaron to compete with him to see who can get to 70 first so that we can all start trying to level together when the new Warcraft expansion comes out. First, I am not *THAT* into the game, and second, he has a 4 level head start! Like I am going to be able to make that up.

Aaron got paid today. Yayayayayayay! I am rich! I get to pay bills! D'oh. I really wanted to go shopping. Okay... back to class.

Edit: AUAUAUAUAAAUUUGH! Last night I figured tht I needed to get at least an 86% on all of my tests from here on out to get an "A" in Anatomy. Today... on my test. I got... an 85%!!!!!!!! WWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! I have 3 more chances to pull up my grade. Wish me luck!

I'm a nerd, but it's still funny.

Okay, so this made my day. Yay for super-duper simplified digestive anatomy run-down!

Okay, I don't know if anyone follows football, but if you know me you know that I don't like the Broncos at all (their fans are huge pains). But anyway, they just lost to the Cheifs so even if they are 3:1 they are still officially the worst team in the league. I can't stop cackling.

PS. The Chiefs are my number 3 team so it has been a kind of sad season for me so far.

I hate Macs.

I've always thought that there seemed to be something sneakier and more evil about Macs. Well, today I have officially had it with the Apple people. My compy crashed and I had to reformat, but when I went back and tried to take my music from my iPod and put it back on my computer it tried to erase everything on my iPod. Luckily, I stopped it. But now I am trying everything and I just can't get my music back on my iTunes. I figured out how to get it back on the computer (which the iPod is supposed to not be able to do) but it won't load back into iTunes library. Unless I can move my music back to iTunes I can't upload more songs to my pod without deleting everything I already have on there. It is completely ridiculous and I will never buy another Mac product so long as I live. I knew I should have gotten a Zune.

EDIT: My honey eventually figured it out. We needed to get the music off the iPod by viewing the pod as an external drive. Then we needed to un-hide the files so that iTunes could find them. It sure was complicated for something that shouldn't be. :/

Oh no!

I forgot to save my bookmarks before I reformatted my computer. Please, send me your blogs and webpages again if you feel that I may need it.

I'm on a meme kick, I guess.

Voice Post Meme

I did the voice post meme, but it is on the journal I share with Aaron. So, to check it out go here:

Good News!

Okay, so yesterday was a pretty sweet day. When I got up Aaron had burned me some Bleach (it's not released in the US so it's not stealing. :P) So I watched some anime and got ready for school. When I was about ready my parents called because they had just got back from Seattle and they wanted to go out to lunch before they headed back up the hill. So we went to Mario's and got my favorite (seafood pizza). Then I went to class and I hadn't missed anything. However, I did get to see what I got in the first 2 courses and I am getting A's. I was totally bummed though because I forgot my phone at home and I wanted to text Aaron with the good news. So, it totally cracked me up when I got home and found my phone. I had a text from Aaron that said "I wish you had your phone. I have good news." He got a raise. :) And then the icing on the cake was that while we were going on about our good news Aaron told me to take a pregnancy test because we seem to be having all the luck that day. Which, of course I wasn't pregnant, but considering he usually says he's not ready for kids, it was the cutest thing ever! I totally bragged to my friends in class about that and forgot to mention that my babe got a raise. XD

To put up on myspace...

Okay, so about once a month I do an update for myspace. It is about that time so... the last month's rundown a la TK.

It's so funny, but since I started school I have felt like time is going by so slow, but now that I remember I have been back for 2 weeks it seems like it's gone by in a flash. I have finished 2 courses and I aced them both. So far I am also acing my Anatomy and Physiology section too, but I better since I have taken anat courses about every 3 years since I started school. :P I am kind of excited to be almost half done with this section of courses already. It makes it easier to study and stuff when I think I only have to push like this for another month.

I am also starting to make some friends and they're really neat. They like that I'm not such a loud personality and I like that about them too. I know. I know. It's weird.

Anyway, my home life still hasn't slowed down. My mom is getting increasingly needy and it's kind of weird. Meanwhile Aaron's mom is getting increasingly distant and that is weird too. Oh well! I guess it is balancing out. Life with Aaron is still completely awesome. Our fish are growing up so fast. Aaaaw... And of course, Trudy says "hello."

I have been feeling a lot better lately and it has been just a huge turn-around. I am surprised at how positive and motivated I have become. I even got us up early for the State Fair yesterday. It was a lot of fun, but I think I gained weight. Oh well. That fried cheesecake was so worth it! I noticed they didn't have as many vendors this year, but at least we still got to see which hot-tub we needed to install in the bathroom. Also, there were a ton of pygmy goats this year with babies and they were sooo cute. Whenever there were babies in 2 adjacent pens the would always all cuddle up next to each other. Piles of cute goat baby goodness. It made me really mad that some of their owners cut off their ears though. Isn't that animal abuse? They would go to jail if it was a cat, but people thought it was okay to show their animals like that. Messed up.

Anyway, that is enough of my ramblings. I hope everyone is doing well. :)

Okay, so now I am totally inspired. I need to go back to A-Kon. OtakuMex didn't do it for me. There was 5 vendors, 5 artists, 1 anime room, and 1 game room. I can't believe it, but it was actually smaller than Nan Desu Kan. The best thing that came of it is that I got the Kon backpack I wanted and now Aaron and I are really excited for A-Kon.

Also, Aaron and I decided that if this counts as an anime convention we are going to throw a con for our birthdays in March. We'll call it T&A-Kon... PERVERT! I know what you were thinking! Anyway, we'll go out to eat at a fun Japanese restaurant (Azuma anyone?) and then go back to our house for a Rock Band Tournament and anime. Yay!

PS. I think I was the oldest person there by about 5 years, but at least I looked young enough. Poor Aaron stuck out like a sore thumb (and not just because he's a big guy.)

More Cluckiness

I'm such a sap. I totally got misty eyed (in a good way) when one of the girls I hang out with at school told me she was having twins. Instead of saying "Congratulations!" I said... "Lucky!" Luckily, a couple girls just laughed and admitted that they wish they had had their kids in one go. Whew saved. Then I started bawling watching Scrubs because Carla had her baby. And while it was no newborn, it was sooo cute. Now I just got happy-misty eyed again watching a video of Cindy listening to her baby's heartbeat. It sounded like a little train plugging down the tracks... Just... Aaaaaaaw.

PS. Possibly totally bitchy, but... It's totally sweet when you look at someone who you used to admire and realize you've been better than them all along.

I keep on forgetting to post about Saturday, but it was a great day. I even caught myself thinking "Man. I wish this were my birthday." And since yesterday was my half birthday, we'll just pretend. XD Anyway, it was just a good day. My brother in law, Johny, was visiting and we didn't fight all day. And my parents came down for my dad's company picnic so we all had lunch together. We went to Applebee's and I got the best steak ever. I don't know what they flavored it with, but it was just delicious and the rest of the meal was pretty good. My mom and I shared a strawberry mojito and it was actually really good! (I had never wanted to try a mojito, because they just seem weird.) Then we came back home and the boys watched a movie. That was my low point because they turned it up so loud I didn't get to watch. :/ (I get headaches.)

Then we went to the Isotopes game for my dad's company picnic. (Yes, Simpson fans, the Albuquerque Isotopes are a real team.) It was so much fun! Patricia joined my dad, Aaron, Johny, and myself at the game so I had someone to chat with during slow parts. We ate pizza and dippin dots which makes any game better. And it's a very confusing tale, but let's just say that everyone was helping everyone else by holding their food and helping take things here and there. It was very nice. :) Oh, and there were FIREWORKS after the game. They were even better than the ones at the 4th of July back home. It was crazy.

So, anyway, that was my awesome day and it was totally worth remembering.

My greatest accomplishment in a while is that I finally uploaded all my music to my iPod. I got an iPod for Christmas and I am starting to learn how to use it. Wish me luck! Plus, I am going to get a few new songs, so I am excited. Sorry, no requests. I already want more songs than I have money for. ^^; In certain cases I think that it might save me some money to just buy the CD on Amazon (Ace of Base, maybe?). Anywho... I am excited and just thought I would share.

My honey is giving me a to-do list for tomorrow. It consists of upgrading my weapons on FFX so that we can pwn Sin. And on top of that he wants me to watch Honey and Clover so he doesn't have to see it. Man, that dude drives me so hard!

I want to go shopping tomorrow. Do any Albuquerque folks want to join me?

So, if anyone is interested in why I do not have my degree right now let me share. It is because UNM is completely incompetent! They say I am missing an Intro to Bio couse which they had previously said transfered just fine from Eastern. And get this... an extra random credit in my music minor. That is totally BS because I transfered to UNM with 78 music credits and they are going to tell me that none of them count as my extra credit. Booooooologna.

I hate UNM. I am so going to march my butt over there this week and raise hell. >:(

Maybe it won't be so bad.

Thanks to sanrionjb for posting that Hard Candy is having a 75% off sale right now. It is AWESOME. I am totally bummed that they don't have all of the things I used to get from them (namely the pink glittery hairspray) but I feel all nostalgic. LOL. And I totally stocked up. Who wouldn't want 9 glittery eye shadows for like $6? OMNOMNOM! I heart good sales and I am so excited to get my stuff. :D

I think I am kind of turning into a more fashion conscious person. I still don't buy labels just because I think that is a waste when you are as broke as I am, but at least I have started buying stuff that is really cute on me!

Anyway, the orientation was fine. I did get stuck sitting/ being followed around by this whiny older lady and I was trying to be nice, but I totally don't know what to say when you are complaining about things I have no control over. It's like you're punishing me for your problems. But anyway, I was trying to be nice, and I couldn't figure out why I thought I ought to. Then it *ding*'ed in my head. This was the lady who I sat with at our couple's retreat for church last year. She is the one whose husband was trying to convince her that it would be a good idea to get married in the church. He seemed like such a nice guy and she was so moody. But I was trying to distract her and give him one day of relief. LOL. So this is why I felt like I had to be nice to this woman who I didn't even like from the get-go. It was a pre-conceived mission from months ago.

The good part of her latching on to me is that I do best when I am the go-to person in a group. (She admitted that she doesn't even know how to study.) When I am the go-to person in a group then people come to me for answers and I understand stuff so much better after I explain things to other people. Also, whilst drilling people on memorization stuff I memorize things better too because I get to hear it out loud. Sweeeet. I just gotta keep up this smart kid facade. Don't let them see the real me. ^.~
